We had a problem with a cria over the Easter holiday and had to call our vet in.

The treatments he tried didn't work so, on the Easter Monday, it was decided to refer our animal to a veterinary hospital. Unfortunately Bristol University Vet Hospital declined to help over the holiday so off we shot to the Royal Veterinary Hospital at Hatfield with the cria.

What a wonderful set of caring people we encountered there who really are Alpaca orientated. The trips back and forth around the M25 were no fun but we knew that our animal was having the best attention.

Regrettably all stories do not have happy endings and with Alpacas we are all still learning, but what my vet and I have learned is what a marvellous set up and staff they have at Hatfield.
