About Avon Alpacas
John & Carole Grover have a history of farming animals going back over 25years.
As members of the Rare Breed Society we specialised in sheep but found it increasingly difficult to enter our stock into the food chain. Then one day at an agriculture show in the cotswolds we met Alpacas. It was a life changing experience. From that moment on our lives changed and we set about planning our farm to accommodate the Alpacas needs.
5 years ago we decided to sell our business to concentrate on the Alpacas and by now the family had picked up our interest and we now have 3 generations involved in various activities.
Our herd is now expanding and we have been increasing the numbers by selecting some of the best sires for breeding and also purchasing carefully selected females for the best fibre and conformation. We know from our own experience how valuable support is and we now offer help and advice to others who want to enjoy these wonderful animals.

Avon Alpacas is situated in the picturesque country side of South Gloucester, near the quaint village of Pucklechurch, tucked away in Siston hamlet.
We are just 10 minutes away from junction 18 off the M4, and about 15 minutes away from M5 & M32. So we are in easy reach of all.
